10,000 Steps a Day: Small Steps, Big Benefits

Walking 10,000 steps a day —roughly 4 to 5 miles—has become a popular standard for fitness, and research suggests it gives wide-ranging benefits. Cardiovascular health improves when regular walking promotes blood circulation , decreases bad cholesterol , and strengthens heart muscles, reducing the risk of heart disease and high blood pressure . It also aids weight control , since walking burns calories and boosts metabolism , making it simpler to maintain a healthy body composition. Beyond physical health, walking daily has a dramatic impact on mental well-being . Studies highlight that consistent walking can reduce stress , elevate mood, and improve sleep quality . The rhythmic movement and exposure to fresh air often act as natural stress relievers , while the release of endorphins helps combat anxiety and depression . Walking also strengthens bones and muscles, enhancing balance and coordination, which is particularly crucial as we age, and reducing the risk of osteoporosis . I...

Games That Strengthen the Brain

In today’s fast-paced environment, keeping our brains busy is equally vital as physical exercise. Some games are more than just fun; they are effective tools for improving IQ and thinking skills. Puzzle games such as crosswords , Sudoku , and jigsaw puzzles improve reasoning abilities and improve focus. They push the brain to spot patterns, organize information, and think critically, which enhances problem-solving ability. Recall and attention span can be greatly increased by playing memory games , such as card-matching or digital brain-training apps . These activities help the brain retain and access information better, which is crucial for learning and everyday tasks. Strategy games like chess or checkers involve foresight, strategy, and adaptation. They improve decision-making and analytical abilities by pushing players to think many steps ahead. Such activities also develop patience and resilience, skills that assist both academic and professional life. Furthermore, creative...

Letters to my Future Self

A few weeks ago, while searching for my scrapbook , I found a letter. It was not from a friend or from a mentor or any close one, but it was from myself. I had written this letter when I was in 5th grade. I am talking about approximately 10 years back. In that letter I found my goals, my ambitions, and my tiny victory and questions like, Did you open an art club, or did you start writing stories? Did you open a dance academy? Did you start writing a blog?. That moment reminded me why I write those letters to myself. These letters were not like journal writing , but it was something that I wanted to build for myself. These letters also suggested the version that might be lost in today's era, or they also suggested how the world has taken a fast move where we have left writing to yourself for your peace and your satisfaction. The new version of a human has taken place in a raw, dishonest, and hopeful life, which also lost its beauty, glow, bloom, etc. I remember being a kid when we ...

Are We Losing Empathy in the Age of Reels?

I saw a post regarding an accident on Instagram . I cried, then I scrolled. You have probably come across the statement and have felt it too, but wait a second, are we talking about an incident or accident or crisis or breakup that took place? And what's next? Are you seeing any trending reels on Instagram ? That might not make sense, but we wipe our emotions, then we swipe, like, react, and move on. The reel may be like an AI-generated dog dancing to a trending audio with perfect moves. But in all this space, are we still feeling something for something bad happening or just consuming? Empathy is a feeling about connecting with someone and understanding their feelings without any judgment, full stop. That makes us human beings. But in this age of technology and social media , we have forgotten our emotions and often try to connect with the world and show zero feelings toward any incident. We may stand for the incident for a few weeks, but significantly, we lose our attention to...

The Myth of The Perfect Routine

Have you ever made your to-do list for the day?  Wake up at 5:00 a.m., meditate , read the newspaper, do mindful walking , cook food, and do gymming . Eat breakfast, complete your work, and have high tea/coffee with music. nature's walk , writing journal , and sleep. Have you ever followed the schedule that you keep in your to-do list for the day? We have all seen some of these schedules with different versions in YouTube vlogs or by influencers on Instagram , where they make us feel productive by promising to change our lives. For some time we try to follow this routine with lots of pressure to follow a perfect daily structure, which creates more anxiety than motivation for many of us.  The rise of this culture is especially because of the social media that tells us a single version of success. But this version is not everyone's cup of tea to have it. Some may not like working at 5:00 a.m. or doing any yoga or cooking food or journaling before sleep. Life is not always as ...

Rest is Productive

Do your work fast; don't waste time. Why are you so lazy? Why are you yawning every time? Why are you so sleepy? are some of the questions. They sound familiar to us in today's ultra-competitive world , where students are often made to feel shameful and guilty for resting and having a peaceful time for themselves. But rest isn't an unproductive thing; it's a necessity and essential for a person to keep themselves healthy and mentally fit.  In today's world, which is developing fast, students are expected to multitask, and they should meet deadlines to manage future work and internships , which will help them to stay ahead of their future task s. But the truth we all need to understand is when students are loaded, or any person who is loaded with more work and less time, this creates an imbalance in a person's life, which could risk his health. Even if we have a problem in our life, we need some time to think in a peaceful environment to find a solution to step ...

Fast Fashion a Damage

In the age of # OOTD and changing trends that might be overnight, fashion has always changed our mind set and rules on our wardrobe. In today's fast pace world there are trendy clothes but are a very cheap price which causes more damaged to the environment and our savings.   People by clothes and a very low price considering it trendy but they forget about the quality and the standard measures which is important for a buyer and also for the environment. We can easily CD is differences just because we use these products in our everyday life, if we buy cheap clothes we can see they start fading colours or they get low quality in one wash.  Global brands like shein , H&M, and Zara release 100 of new designs each week and making the previous fashion disposable full stop it may be an normal shirt that may cause rupees 100 or between 200 but the real cost is around 2000 or above full stop but the real cause speed by the planet and their underpaid workers who work effortle...

Elders Are The Blessings

Elders are someone who shape are beautiful past intro beautiful memories and they teach us the presence of love and how oneself should be treated. Elders are someone who shape our roots or cultures but these loves are often been ignored in the present world. We name them as grandparents or aging parents or senior members of the society . These people are experienced or a lot experienced about their past and the working they do. They carry stories of strength or silence or love or many other things they are not just the people who have the experience but they are the one who teaches how to be brave enough to handle the Chaos of the life even they are the one who handle is in our emotional situation and keep blessing us in our lives whether we do good to them or not.   Elders are not the one who only shower the love or just give the opinion on the other hand they are one who have a very good experience of the lifetime. Technology changing friendship

Technology has developed and redefined how we communicate, connect and maintain friendship . But sooner or later we realize that we have been distance from our friendships and how we spend the time when we were talking face to face or on a call. Firstly how we use to plan a meeting or a picnic to meet someone or our friend and have a gossip or play games or do things we desire. Things I have changed and have taken a digital shift firstly meetings physically to messaging apps to video calls and now only to messages. We believe that technology help us take connected but they have made a distance in our friendship and we are not able to realize the emotions and feelings we shared.  When we are connected on a digital platform we tend to get distracted more and we forget the importance of messages that a friends have send. Now we stick on social media where pictures posted by other members are just left to replies or likes or some other comments. Till now date there are no friendshi...

The Art of saying No

In the world where businesses are glorified and multitasking with developed skills and technology, there are few faces where you start giving stress to yourself such as harming your mental health for declining personal growth. In this era, we have seen that companies take forward people who are talented and a multitasking, but every employee should learn to say no for few things which are crucial for ourselves. Saying no often feels like burden and it also can be the feeling of letting others down from our saying no. Many people find it hard to say no as they feel fear, rejected or the fear of getting judged or getting into a conflict. Especially for students and young professional the pressure can be to prove and participate in many programs and task which can be overwhelming. Student specially face this to prove themselves at standard of teachers expectations but often forget there own health and conditions. Sometimes it becomes necessary to say no for few things which you might no...

SPEAKING FEARLESSLY

Every spotlight I faced helped me dim the fear within.   Every fear has a stage and it could only be fought through consistency in defeating them through courage . There was a time when asking a question and raising a hand in class was a big question and it made my heart run fast. I would be so afraid saying any question to teacher, I thought it of being wrong or what if students made fun of my questions. This put me more backwards in academic and social skills. But the day I stepped into the world of performing arts things turned magical. This blog will cover how courage could lead to rising stars . Every child starts his or her arts either from dance or acting but mosttly it begans with dancing from nursery, nowadays recieting a poem has also been categorised into an arts and students are graded for this. But feeling of dance when surveyed was the most effective one as the students or kids get attracted from the lights, camera, rhythm, moves etc and that's where kids start o...
