In the age of #OOTD and changing trends that might be overnight, fashion has always changed our mind set and rules on our wardrobe. In today's fast pace world there are trendy clothes but are a very cheap price which causes more damaged to the environment and our savings. People by clothes and a very low price considering it trendy but they forget about the quality and the standard measures which is important for a buyer and also for the environment. We can easily CD is differences just because we use these products in our everyday life, if we buy cheap clothes we can see they start fading colours or they get low quality in one wash.
Global brands like shein, H&M, and Zara release 100 of new designs each week and making the previous fashion disposable full stop it may be an normal shirt that may cause rupees 100 or between 200 but the real cost is around 2000 or above full stop but the real cause speed by the planet and their underpaid workers who work effortlessly and tirelessly to give a branded product. For most consumers it is a swag or a task to stay on trend without spending much, so they often prefer the non original sites or clothes from normal shops which keep duplicate items.
According to your environmental program 2024 the fashion industry produce 10% of global garment emission more than of any flights or Maritime shipping. In way of looking trendy people often avoid seeing the material of the cloth. One of the such material or fibre like polyester take up to 200 years to decompose. To minimise these cost of trendy clothes the workers were working in the factory often work in the unsafe condition and are paid less. Yet the condition remains poor and factories are worsened even today. The Rana Plaza was such a incident of Bangladesh where 8 story building collapsed killing more than thousands of people and injuring more than 2000 people. It was a collapse due to a structural failure and the workers who are working under this condition but not given a proper insurance even.
But today we can see the trend is still a priority but people are awake and a following sustainable trends I am promoting sustainability. They often support ethical brands and are now supporting slow fashion and are buying less. Regulation against textile waste and urging companies to reduce over production and extend product life has become a main motto of the developing and fast era. But there is always a cost to promote sustainable trends even as the cost of these brand or these type of fabric or material or of such a high cost which are mostly not affordable by a middle class with rising prices in everything. Therefore they should be a consideration to promote sustainability but as a reasonable cost.
Small changes can make a big difference and we should always value what we buy and we should not get jealous or think ourself down on repeating our clothes. It doesn't make you look bad but it makes you smarter and intelligent. As it hints about consideration towards future saving and thinking deep about nature. Even it doesn't mean that if you are repeating clothes it makes you poor, but on easy note if you have paid for the dress you can wear it as much as you want as you have the right on your things.
Buy less, choose well.
Passion she didn't call the earth or someone else dignity.
