Delhi–Dehradun Expressway

Once the Delhi–Dehradun Expressway opens on April 14, 2026, it will reduce travel time to just 2.5 hours and cause a real estate boom in Dehradun, western Uttar Pradesh, and the National Capital Region. Strong demand is anticipated in planned developments, logistics hubs, and factories, and property values in these markets are already rising by 15–30%. To maximize returns, investors must focus on planned projects and early-stage land purchases. The project is part of the Bharatmala Pariyojana, which aims to improve tourism, industrial growth, and connections between regions. The expressway is expected to be more than just a way for people to get around; it will also be a logistics backbone, helping western UP's warehousing and agriculture-based industries.  For real estate, this means that there will be a lot more demand for plotted developments, affordable housing, and logistics parks along the corridor. Dehradun, in particular, is likely to benefit from high-end housing demand, w...

KISSAN "Fresh Tomato" Ketchup is a scam!

Recently, while scrolling Instagram, there were many posts and reels regarding the FSSAI food scam. I thought, why are there lots of people commenting to be safe with the FSSAI food scam? Firstly, I thought it was just an algorithm of Instagram, but yesterday, suddenly, while searching for food security and safety from FSSAI, I found there are many such complaints posted. While I was having my meal through this ongoing search, I was pouring Kissan fresh tomato ketchup, and suddenly my eyes hit the mark of "FSSAI approved."  At that moment, my mind questioned checking the labeling and packaging. I checked the packaging, and I was shocked to see the line that was written in a very small font that says "only brand name and doesn't represent true nature," after which I thought that all the ads and packaging are only for customer attraction and branding; nothing is related to the concept of trustworthiness or originality. People often, when buying, think that these b...

Toxic Chemicals in Chocolates banned in Europe and USA but legal in India

Many chocolates and candies sold in India still contain additives that have been banned in Europe and restricted in parts of the USA due to health concerns.  Substances like Red Dye 3 (Erythrosine) , Titanium Dioxide (E171) , and preservatives such as BHA/BHT are widely used to enhance color, texture, and shelf life, even though studies link them to risks like cancer, DNA damage, and hyperactivity in children. These chocolate packages such as gems, melody, eclairs, kismi etc contain these chemicals and on back side of this chocolate contains this information but who has time to read this notice. It is such an irony, same as people know smoking is injurious to health but then to consume it  The difference arises because Europe follows a strict precautionary principle—banning chemicals if there’s evidence of harm—while India’s food safety rules under FSSAI remain more permissive and slower to adopt global bans. As a result, Indian consumers are exposed to additives that are no ...

Foods that give you Protein without Protein powder or Chicken

Lot of people think that proteins can only be gained through protein powder or through chicken, but even in veg meal course there are many different kinds of food sources that provide you with rich protein-based diet.  Nutrition guidelines suggest that most adults need about 0.8 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight each day, which often translates to around 50–60 grams for many people, and more for those who are active or trying to build muscle. 1. A bowl of Greek yogurt can serve you 20gms of protein and will be heavy diet full of  chopped fruit, a handful of nuts or seeds, and a drizzle of honey if you like a little sweetness. it can fulfill your night cravings and can also work as a heavy breakfast.  2. Fake Internship Scam

Recently, while scrolling down LinkedIn, I have seen many people jotting about fake internship programs making people work full-time without pay or with a very small amount of stipend.  These scams are very normal and have been running for a very long time. They are being highlighted now as there are many true companies that hire you for full-time and pay less but give you lots of experience, and on the other hand, now people have started to fake these jobs and internship offers. They hire and make you work for their profit and either pay you or keep the terms and conditions, such as for a certificate + learning, and highlight the feature that you will be able to add this to your CV. But this sort of term and condition makes you work worse than a daily wage worker. These sorts of internships or part-time work with less or no pay are a type of hindrance to the right to pay for work.  As one of these scams happened to me while I was in college, I applied for digital marketing, a...

Income Tax Rules 2026: New Benefits & Simplified Compliance for Salaried Employees

The Income-tax Rules, 2026 have made a number of significant adjustments that help salaried workers and make compliance easier. The emphasis has turned to structured salary components that can lower taxable income, even though tax slabs have not altered. Expanded House Rent Allowance (HRA) advantages for four new cities (Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, and Bengaluru), greater meal card exemptions, and higher allowances for children's schooling and hostel costs under the previous system are some of the main attractions. Additionally, perks like festival coupons, concessional loans, and business automobiles have been simplified to make them more tax efficient. The regulations also introduce procedural improvements. For many taxpayers, compliance has been made easier by expanding the scope of simplified return filing (ITR-1 and ITR-4) to include persons with up to two home properties. However, limitations currently prohibit filingITR-4 if deductions are made under "Income from Other ...

Doctor Resigns on First Day Over Unethical Hospital Practices

Dr. Prabhleen Kaur, a young internal medicine specialist from Chandigarh, made headlines after resigning from a reputed hospital on her very first day.  In a video shared on Instagram, she revealed that the hospital’s owner, a senior gynecologist, instructed staff to admit nearly every patient, regardless of whether hospitalization was necessary. She alleged that the hospital only wanted a physician “in name,” while the owner personally managed cases, deciding that all admitted patients should be kept in the ICU for as long as possible.  Dr. Kaur explained that although the hospital offered attractive pay, she was disturbed by these instructions and refused to be part of what she described as unethical practices. “It would have been my name, but their wrongdoing,” she said, adding that she could not allow herself to be used as a front. Her video, captioned with a warning about karma, has garnered over 96,000 views and earned widespread praise from netizens for her principled s...

No More Cash at Toll Booths Starting April 10

Following a government announcement requiring a totally digital tolling system, cash payments at toll booths on India's national highways would no longer be accepted as of April 10.  In an effort to lessen traffic, increase transparency, and improve commuter convenience at more than 1,150 fee plazas across the country, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) revealed that all transactions will now be completed through FASTag and UPI. It is anticipated that the change will improve operating efficiency, reduce delays, and optimize traffic flow. Toll rates have been updated in tandem with this change.  Expressway fees in Uttar Pradesh would increase by 1.5% to 3.5%, while passenger car owners on national highways may experience an increase of up to 10%. For example, the toll for cars on the Lucknow–Agra Expressway has increased to ₹675, while the toll for two-wheelers is now ₹335. The current fees on the Gorakhpur Link Expressway are ₹295 for four-wheelers and ₹145 for tw...

Rising Price in fees of Nursery Kids

In the current educational landscape, schools, which should primarily serve as institutions for learning, understanding, and social development, have increasingly morphed into businesses. This shift has led to exorbitant tuition fees, beginning at the nursery level, with costs nearing lakhs for just a few months of education and approximately 5 lakhs for an entire year. These rising fees have ignited discussions among parents regarding the feasibility of sending their children to school. As education is a fundamental requirement, many families find themselves struggling to save money due to the financial burden imposed by these high expenses. This economic pressure has compelled some parents to reconsider their family planning decisions, with some opting against having a second child, fearing they may not be able to meet the essential schooling expenses. Additionally, schools impose extra charges for various activities, such as annual functions, further adding to the financial strain t...

India Bans Hikvision, Dahua, TP-Link CCTV Sales

India has officially banned the sale of Chinese CCTV brands Hikvision, Dahua, and TP-Link from April 1, 2026. The move is driven by new cybersecurity rules requiring Standardization Testing and Quality Certification (STQC) approval, which these companies have failed to obtain. Existing cameras will continue to work, but new sales are blocked. As India is strongly trying to go vocal for local and trying to invent its own models of electronics and other devices to drive the economy to buy bits of its own country and the export of these goods from other countries, India moves to decline Chinese CCTV sales, which aims to strengthen domestic manufacturing and reduce reliance on Chinese imports in sensitive sectors like surveillance. This move will take place from April 1st to April 30th and will stop the distribution of these catches in the market. People who are using it will have issues with it, but future sales will be stopped.  And it will also make domestic manufacturers and g...

RBI Payments Vision 2028

Under RBI 's new regulation unveiled on March 27, 2026, a new way of banking and a way you manage your finances are documented. Its primary objective is to make digital payments faster, more reliable, and free from fraud.  The RBI is planning to implement e-checks as a replacement of traditional checks, which will help in increasing speed and efficiency and will also help in the clearing process and escape from fraud-related activities.  Additionally, the RBI will maintain strict oversight over e-commerce companies and online shopping platforms to ensure that customers' funds do not get stuck or compromised. To reduce fraud in payment apps and net banking, there will be a new feature of toggling off and on; this will be disabled when there are no frequent transactions.  This will ensure that no one can withdraw money from your account without your explicit consent. RBI’s upcoming reforms will make digital payments safer and more flexible. In fraud cases, both th...

Lippan Art a Therapy

Completing even a small part of Lippan art brings a quiet, satisfying joy. As the clay lines settle into place and the mirrors begin to catch light, there’s a moment where effort turns into beauty. It may be just a corner of a larger design, but it feels meaningful—like you’ve added a small piece of yourself to something timeless. There’s patience in every curve, focus in every detail, and a calm pride in seeing something take shape through your own hands. Lippan art especially teaches you about pressure—both literally and metaphorically. While working, the pressure of your fingers matters a lot. Too much pressure can flatten the design or break its neatness, while too little makes the pattern weak and unclear. The right balance gives the artwork strength, definition, and elegance. It’s not about force; it’s about control and awareness. This idea extends beautifully into life. Pressure is always present—through expectations, challenges, or responsibilities. Just like in art, too much p...

CHIRAIYA (Jio Hotstar Series)

One of the most honest and realistic shows I've ever seen. The series is more of a real-life tale that always occurs in a person's daily life than a real-life story build-up. Despite showing the family and men's level of education, the series captures the spirit of patriarchy in society. The show begins with a family that is incredibly kind, sympathetic, and respectful, but it gradually depicts how a chameleon changes its color; the same is true with the headmen of the household, and it doesn't stop there. It also emphasizes how crucial it is for all women to be aware of their rights and understand their concerns. The most important things in any family are consent , respect, and feelings. When Pooja marries Arun in this series, he believes that he has some sort of ownership rights to her body. He repeatedly attempts to prove this with marital rape, which they believe is normal in married life even when the woman is not ready to be in the situation. However, these k...

Indian Railways Unveils New Ticketing Rules: Easier Boarding, Fairer Refunds

As part of Indian Railways' duty to undertake 52 reforms in 52 weeks, Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has proposed five significant initiatives. The modifications include construction quality, salt and vehicle transportation, boarding rules, and ticket cancellation and refunds. Passengers who cancel their tickets more than 72 hours before to departure will only be charged a flat minimum fee under the new ticketing rules. 25% of the ticket will be removed if the cancellation is made between 72 and 24 hours prior to departure. Cancellations made between 24 and 8 hours prior to departure will result in a 50% refund; cancellations made fewer than 8 hours prior will result in no refund. In addition, any railway counter in the country can now revoke counter tickets. Additionally, boarding regulations have been lifted; instead of the previous restriction on chart preparation time, passengers can now change their boarding location up to 30 minutes prior to departure. Aadhaar-bas...

ATM rules changing from 1st April

Starting April 1st, several major banks in India are updating their ATM rules to align with the new financial year. These changes will affect how customers withdraw cash and how transactions are counted and charged. HDFC Bank will now include UPI-based ATM withdrawals in your monthly quota of free transactions. Previously, these were treated separately. Customers get 5 free transactions at HDFC ATMs and 3 (in metro cities) or 5 (in non-metro cities) at other bank ATMs. Exceeding the limit will incur a ₹23 fee per transaction, excluding taxes. Punjab National Bank (PNB) has revised daily withdrawal limits for certain debit cards. Depending on the card type, customers can now withdraw between ₹50,000 and ₹75,000 per day. Some cards that previously allowed ₹100,000 have had their limits reduced. Jio Payments Bank is introducing a new QR-based cash withdrawal method. Customers can scan a UPI QR code provided by a bank representative, authorize the transaction via their mobile app, an...

WhatsApp 's is new feature "Guest Chats."

According to reports, WhatsApp is creating a new feature called Guest Chats that would let users chat individuals without a WhatsApp account. According to reports, the feature allows direct browser contact with non-WhatsApp users by means of a secure chat link. Users can invite non-WhatsApp contacts to secure discussions using the "Guest Chats" function. Using the "Invite a Friend" feature, a WhatsApp user can create a link and distribute it by email, SMS, or other channels. The recipient has two options: download WhatsApp or use a browser to continue as a guest. Visitors must accept WhatsApp's Terms of Service and provide a name, either real or a false name.  The inviter's phone number is visible to guests, but conversations are encrypted from beginning to end. The lack of guest verification of identity, however, presents a risk in the event that the connection is viewed by unauthorized individuals. "Guest" is clearly shown during chats to show...

Did you get a silent call? It might be the result of this AI-driven scam: This is how it operates.

You may have received a call from an unknown number, and after you answered it, the other end of the phone became silent. This is not a bug; it's artificial intelligence. Calls from unknown numbers with the caller actively remaining silent are an increasingly common scam method.  The goal is to get you to speak first rather than to start talking right away. Scammers may actually be able to start gathering your speech data in that short period when you say "hi." This is what usually occurs. After making a call, the con artist just waits. The majority of people automatically say "hi" or attempt to see if the call is linked. That answer is noted. Even a brief voice sample can be analyzed and copied in a matter of seconds with the use of AI techniques. However, voice cloning is not the end of it. In order to determine how you may react in certain events, scammers also examine your speech patterns, including your tone, confidence, and caution. SOURCE; MONEYCONTROL
