The Ram Mandir inauguration took place on 22nd January 2024, which suggests the reminder that it is the path of righteousness, triumph, unity, and faith. Canada is celebrating the moment of cultural and spiritual pride as it unveils Lord Ram's tallest statue on 4th August 2025. This inauguration event took place at the Hindu Heritage Centre in Mississauga, Ontario, and it was attended by a huge number of devotees, and it was followed by dignitaries and several political leaders.
The Shri Ram idol statue is built of 51 feet, with an additional coverage of a 7-foot pedestal and chatri (an umbrella), which now represents the rise of Sanatan Dharma in the West. The most capturing feature of this statue is engineered to withstand winds of upto 200km/h. This was made possible through an Indo-Canadian business leader, Laj Prashar, which marked the completion of a four-year-long project.
The ceremony had famous figures from Canadian politics, including the Ministry of Women and Gender Equality. Rechie Valdez, Treasury Board President Shafqat Ali, Minister of International Trade Minister Sidhu, and Andrew Scheer, interim leader of the Conservative Party in the House of Commons. Everyone in the house has expressed their devotional and cultural emotions and feelings towards this occasion. Sidhu greeted the audience present for the inauguration and also added that representing the Indian government was highlighting and strengthening the strong ties between India and Canada. Acharya Surinder Sharma Shastri is the chief priest and founder of the Hindu Heritage Centre. He said, "This is a spiritual gift to the community."
