Clean Water- a basic right

As air is mandatory to breathe in a clean environment it same for water which is the basic necessity but it is denied in many of the places.
Many people do struggle to have access for the clean drinking water but it has become a concerning and alarming issue which has to be resolved. As technology is evolving and the fact that the nation is growing but still there are many issues which need a glance for the justice to be served. There are few things such as water, air, food some basic necessity and need which is our privilege not our right to be served with.

Clean water drive is being monitored by UNICEF, but still one and four people like safe drinking water and comparely it's almost half of the world's population that do not have access to it and its not only about water it's about privilege to be earned and the sanitation services provided to access it. In India there has been progress and advancement made with jal Jeevan mission in 2024 to overcome these downfall but still there are many rural areas that fails to meet the basic health standard. We can see that there are many metro cities like Delhi and Chennai that still rely on water tankers that to irregular in urban areas, if these areas as still suffering for these issues then the rural call maybe for a big cry for these issues of clean drinking water. In 2025 World Bank also highlighted the issue related it in parts of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, an Odisha as they have suffered from unclean drinking water that to because of the repeated outbreaks of diseases related with water such as Cholera and typhoid

Clean drinking water is a very basic right not a luxury. Even poor people do die for the same. It is a basic human survival which has been contaminated and it leads to diseases or child mortality or malnutrition etc preventing these is not about serving a charity but it's about right which is not drafted constitutionally but it's pretty understandable. There are many places where women or children stand in line for hours for something so basic it is mandatory for people to access saved drinking water and it is most important for the women and children as the hurdle for this more to live with dignity. This also give us the record that many of the girl child who are attaining education lakh their attendance due to clean water drinking facilities as they have to go far to fetch clean water or find other ways to clean that contaminated water. This sparks The light that attendance issue degrade there marks and also reflect the higher chances of drop out for girl child. There are societies where people who are wealthy they get pite treated water with full sanitation and cleanliness maintained and marginalised people or communities suffer more, this leads to social injustice and even further which creates a divide in the communities.

People have also laid contribution in making climate change a biggest impact in the water crisis which has worsened the situation. It's not up game that can be gambled but it's a guarantee that should be provided and must be prioritize by government for their people. Water is very precious resource where there should be no injustice called.

Water is life and clean water means health.
