Doctor Resigns on First Day Over Unethical Hospital Practices

Dr. Prabhleen Kaur, a young internal medicine specialist from Chandigarh, made headlines after resigning from a reputed hospital on her very first day.  In a video shared on Instagram, she revealed that the hospital’s owner, a senior gynecologist, instructed staff to admit nearly every patient, regardless of whether hospitalization was necessary. She alleged that the hospital only wanted a physician “in name,” while the owner personally managed cases, deciding that all admitted patients should be kept in the ICU for as long as possible.  Dr. Kaur explained that although the hospital offered attractive pay, she was disturbed by these instructions and refused to be part of what she described as unethical practices. “It would have been my name, but their wrongdoing,” she said, adding that she could not allow herself to be used as a front. Her video, captioned with a warning about karma, has garnered over 96,000 views and earned widespread praise from netizens for her principled s...

No More Cash at Toll Booths Starting April 10

Following a government announcement requiring a totally digital tolling system, cash payments at toll booths on India's national highways would no longer be accepted as of April 10.  In an effort to lessen traffic, increase transparency, and improve commuter convenience at more than 1,150 fee plazas across the country, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) revealed that all transactions will now be completed through FASTag and UPI. It is anticipated that the change will improve operating efficiency, reduce delays, and optimize traffic flow. Toll rates have been updated in tandem with this change.  Expressway fees in Uttar Pradesh would increase by 1.5% to 3.5%, while passenger car owners on national highways may experience an increase of up to 10%. For example, the toll for cars on the Lucknow–Agra Expressway has increased to ₹675, while the toll for two-wheelers is now ₹335. The current fees on the Gorakhpur Link Expressway are ₹295 for four-wheelers and ₹145 for tw...

Rising Price in fees of Nursery Kids

In the current educational landscape, schools, which should primarily serve as institutions for learning, understanding, and social development, have increasingly morphed into businesses. This shift has led to exorbitant tuition fees, beginning at the nursery level, with costs nearing lakhs for just a few months of education and approximately 5 lakhs for an entire year. These rising fees have ignited discussions among parents regarding the feasibility of sending their children to school. As education is a fundamental requirement, many families find themselves struggling to save money due to the financial burden imposed by these high expenses. This economic pressure has compelled some parents to reconsider their family planning decisions, with some opting against having a second child, fearing they may not be able to meet the essential schooling expenses. Additionally, schools impose extra charges for various activities, such as annual functions, further adding to the financial strain t...

India Bans Hikvision, Dahua, TP-Link CCTV Sales

India has officially banned the sale of Chinese CCTV brands Hikvision, Dahua, and TP-Link from April 1, 2026. The move is driven by new cybersecurity rules requiring Standardization Testing and Quality Certification (STQC) approval, which these companies have failed to obtain. Existing cameras will continue to work, but new sales are blocked. As India is strongly trying to go vocal for local and trying to invent its own models of electronics and other devices to drive the economy to buy bits of its own country and the export of these goods from other countries, India moves to decline Chinese CCTV sales, which aims to strengthen domestic manufacturing and reduce reliance on Chinese imports in sensitive sectors like surveillance. This move will take place from April 1st to April 30th and will stop the distribution of these catches in the market. People who are using it will have issues with it, but future sales will be stopped.  And it will also make domestic manufacturers and g...

RBI Payments Vision 2028

Under RBI 's new regulation unveiled on March 27, 2026, a new way of banking and a way you manage your finances are documented. Its primary objective is to make digital payments faster, more reliable, and free from fraud.  The RBI is planning to implement e-checks as a replacement of traditional checks, which will help in increasing speed and efficiency and will also help in the clearing process and escape from fraud-related activities.  Additionally, the RBI will maintain strict oversight over e-commerce companies and online shopping platforms to ensure that customers' funds do not get stuck or compromised. To reduce fraud in payment apps and net banking, there will be a new feature of toggling off and on; this will be disabled when there are no frequent transactions.  This will ensure that no one can withdraw money from your account without your explicit consent. RBI’s upcoming reforms will make digital payments safer and more flexible. In fraud cases, both th...
